Community Outreach

The Rishon Lezion Educational Center lends paramount importance to sharing the joy of Judaism with the residents of Rishon.  Each year, the Center opens its campus and thousands of people, who participate in Simchat Torah, Purim, and Independence Day holiday celebrations.

Outreach to the community, however, is not limited to on-campus celebrations. The Center pro-actively reaches out to the larger community, whether through its public classes or through the virtual chats and “Ask-A-Rabbi” forums it hosts on some of Israel’s most popular web sites and portals. Over the years, the Center has responded to thousands of questions from Israelis and from Jewish communities abroad.

Other community outreach programs include a Rabbinical   Court, which adjudicates financial disputes, and a Conversion Institute, which serves some 60 participants each year.
